What you are about to read are not rules ![]()
The following text is a covenant, a manifesto, a pact among people with a shared passion ![]()
It conveys our community’s core values ![]()
Your Space
This Hub is a communal space.
Alessandro and his UnPlayable Games are the original seed, but the space itself is meant to be open and largely self-organised.
A space you can grow and shape.
With your artifacts.
With your conversations.
With your communal decisions.
Gardeners
The “staff” watching every post is the community.
There are no official mods here, you are the gardener.
-
If you see a toxic interaction, flag the post.
Engaging a troll makes you a troll.
Flag bad behaviour, walk away, and trust the system to handle the rest. -
If you see a tense interaction, give it a friendly poke, a “Hey, that’s a bit harsh” comment.
Or flag the post.
Flags are not a report to the police button – there is no police.
Flags inform the system that a post needs some attention and care.
Build Others Up
Everything and everyone is open to critique.
And of course we all want to help and support each other.
But good intentions matter much less than the impact of your actual words and actions. Keep these guidelines in mind when interacting with others:
-
Assume Competence
Offer feedback, not lessons.
Treat others as peers with a different opinion.
Speak up, share your opinions, but know that not all opinions are equally valid:- inform yourself
- respect other’s expertise
- argument your ideas
- earn authority through work, practice and participation
-
Be curious
If you see a problem or an error consider asking first and critiquing second:- find the why
- find the how
- find the context
- find the intention
-
Be mindful & specific
- When making a critique, first be sure to know why something looks like a problem to you, specifically.
- When giving feedback on an idea, try to run with it and see its potential.
- When offering an answer, start by giving others what they ask for.
Work the Field
Communication is hard.
Mistakes will be made.
Consequences must exist, but their aim has to be restorative and generative, not punitive. The point is to grow a bunch of strangers into a thriving community of peers.
System flags, trust levels and other platform tools are there to help you notice and constructively face both specific problems and broader behaviour patterns.
- People before games
- Understanding before judgement
- Journey before destination

The goal isn’t just to talk about games; it’s to support a healthy games discourse where we can all try stuff, fail safely, and learn from each other.
I have read the Covenant
and agree to tie myself to its Knots
joining the community they thread together
So Say We All
